Frontman and the most important person of ETC, Vladimír Mi?ík was active in various Rock & Poprock bands in 60s. In 1968, he established (together with Radim Hladík) group Blue Effect participating on album Meditace). He also did vocals in Flamengo and for a while in Energit as well. In 1974, he started group Etc itself, releasing 11 albums (as of 2010). The band met many difficulties with government, as they gathered popularity by people, releasing only two albums till difficulties evolved into ban for performances in 1982, so following releasing of material had to wait 3 years. Its first four albums are called simply with number (with 2 being probably the best and 4 being worst - perhaps). The band briefly had period of using drum machine, but they soon get new drummer and their 90s releases are quite better again. The band is active till now and Vladimír Mi?ík is considered as Rock legend here in Czech Republic.
