Softly spoken and deeply spiritual, Karen "Miss Murphy" Andrews uses her faith and life experiences as inspiration to write music and perform on stage. Her faith connects her to the local community, and she currently lives and works as Musical Director in her local church. \r \r Of Polynesian decent, Karen grew up in an underprivileged area of Sydney, but her parents worked hard to provide for her and her brothers. Her tight knit family always encouraged her dream to become a singer. \r \r A determined woman, Karen recently lost 40kgs, a huge accomplishment that has given her greater confidence when she performs on stage. She is inspired by female singers Jill Scott and Adele for their talent and personal style
