Jeremy Warmsley
Half-French, half-English multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Warmsley hails from London, England, and combines folk with a variety of instrumentation, including ukelele, toy piano, and his laptop computer. Following two EPs (5 Interesting Lies and Other People's Secrets), he released the debut album The Art of Fiction on Transgressive Records in October 2006. In late 2005 and early 2006, Warmsley toured the U.K. with Regina Spektor. In support of his album, a fall 2006 tour included dates with Hot Chip and King Creosote.Jeremy Warmsley is a West London based singer-songwriter, currently signed to Transgressive Records. He is half-french.BiographyHis musical style displays an electronica influenced approach to melodic pop songwriting, first heard on debut single 'I Believe In The Way You Move' (July 2005), and further developed on his 'The Art Of Fiction' LP (October 2006). He toured the UK with Regina Spektor and The Shins that year. In 2007 he did a Take-Away Show acoustic video session shot by Vincent Moon. After a lengthy wait, a non-album single "The Boat Song/Temptation" appeared in April 2008 (featuring a New Order cover). His new album, "How We Became", co-produced by Markus Dravs (Coldplay/Arcade Fire/Bjork) was released in the UK in September 2008, followed by a lengthy headline tour. A free-download single was been announced for Valentine's Day 2009.In 2008, Warmsley, along with Mystery Jets & Adem Ilhan, contributed the song "Grains of Sand" to the Survival International charity album Songs for Survival.
