On top of their own brand of jazz, metal, punk and psychedelic influences, the band would spend the next five year playing around the Mid-West with some of their heroes, including Overkill, Zen Guerrilla, Mule and Voivod before releasing Psychoblaster & the Misuse of Power; a 9 song EP that clocking in at 75 minutes. Three years later, Red Giant's follow-up album Ultra Magnetic Glowing Sound was released in 1998.
