The group gigged with artists like No Doubt and the Deftones in their early stages, but didn't get around to a debut album until 1999, when they recorded Below the Under. The album was released the following year, and they spent time on the road getting to know one another better and becoming a tighter outfit. By 2002, they had enough material for a follow-up and released Clear that summer.
