Meet Alec Thompson, born December 20th, 1994 also known as "A-Game." A-Game is a 19 year old artist living in Tampa, Florida. I like to consider myself a music connoisseur, with my tastes ranging from hip hop to metal to electronic dance music to even a little country. It's not uncommon to find me listening to my own music one moment, some Suicide Silence the next, and Excision right after that. Along with doing vocals, I also played drums and guitar, until I sold my drumset after moving to an apartment, although I do have plans to pick up the guitar and even a set of electric drums this year. Being raised in a suburban city in Florida known as Bradenton, the norm there was surfing and fishing. Since I was about 6 or 7 years old, I quickly became immersed in the hip hop culture. I was listening to G-Unit, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Three 6 Mafia, Lil Wyte, and more. I never really felt comfortable dressing like everyone around me, and you know how ignorant kids can be in gradeschool to people who don't act like them. I faced a lot of backlash, being called "wigger" and "Slim Shady" became routine. When I turned 12, I announced the birth of my rap name: 'Da A-Game', even though I never began making music until I was 14. Eventually, the "Da" in "Da A-Game" got dropped and everyone started calling me "A-Game" although they were only saying it in a mockingly manner. At age 14, I decided to try and rap myself. Starting out recording on a laptop microphone (yes, the one that's built into the laptop), I *tried* recording on it, but to no avail could I get the quality up to par, and I couldn't flow on beat or even have a rap voice, it was the closest thing to a whisper! I ended up switching to a Rock Band 2 microphone and used that for a while, until I was suggested by a friend to get Pro Tools M-Powered with the M-Audio USB microphone. I ended up using this microphone up until my 17th birthday when my awesome parents got me a BlueBird microphone, which is what I have been using to this day. I plan to upgrade to a Baby Bottle in the near future. Aside from my solo music, I continue to make music with my former rap group Zoo Crew, from Bradenton. Mainly with members Bird and T.O.T., and we have a group known as Skrewz Loose. We have one mixtape out now, and are already working on the next one, which features Dizzy Wright from Funk Volume and Zoo Crew. A-Game has 1 solo mixtape out right now called "The Graveyard Shift: Old & Unreleased Tracks". The title is self-explanatory. It's a 25-track mixtape of songs I made when I was 16-18 years old. The second mixtape of mine is 10 Days, 10 Singles with features from Snug Brim and the Zoo Crew. My third mixtape "Unchained" is a compilation of tracks (mainly) with tracks I have with members of Zoo Crew, but unlike The Graveyard Shift, the material is unreleased and will be released as new. I also have my first album scheduled to release during Q4 of 2014 entitled "Nsydious," a strictly horrorcore release with features from SwizZz, Insane Poetry, Lo Key, Stitchez, Low C, Samson Samson, and Zero. As an artist, my main priority is to be a well-rounded individul who can rap about any topic on any beat. I love to expand my name and work with people outside of my immediate group of artists I work with. I charge no fee for collabs and don't turn down ANYONE, as long as their vocals are on the beat sent. So if you have something you want me on, let's work, cause I won't be going anywhere anytime soon! Contact me at agamemusik@yahoo.com
