Josh Heinrichs "Rooftop Session" EP will be officially released March 26th, 2013 by GanJah Records. The EP was recorded and produced in Branson, Missouri at Roller Pro Recording with Greg Roller at the controls, where Josh has recorded a majority of his solo albums, as well as most of his albums with SkillinJah and Jah Roots over the years. "Greg Roller, is one of my favorite people to work with. He knows our style so well now and it makes it very easy for all of us to move quickly and get recordings done on budget and still sound amazing" Josh Heinrichs For this album Josh enlisted the help of the regular GanJah Records band. Josh Heinrichs on vocals and rhythm guitar, Lance Sitton on lead guitar, Mick Kline doubling up on duties as usual and providing bass and keys and Ian Foreman on the drums. "This group of guys have recorded and played so many live shows together with me over the years, it's just feels natural every time we get together and jam.So that is why I choose to record my albums this way... The Motown style, Otis Redding style, Chess Records style, just the old school style... we just hit record and keep the best live take.. The recordings are pure and honest, no crazy overdubbing and effects we cannot recreate in a live show. This way our live show sounds exactly like the record. This is my favorite way to record." Josh Heinrichs It has been over a year since Josh has released any new albums or EP's, instead working mostly on growing his independent label GanJah Records. In 2012 he released 4 new albums under his label from 77 Jefferson, Lance Sitton and 2 from SkillinJah. With all these other releases and touring in the mix, Josh was unable to hit the studio & record an album for himself in 2012. So we figured it is time for a new album and what better way to start the new year. We have just recently finished the "Rooftop Session" EP & are now ready to share it with the world on March 26th : )
