A little bit about Charmaine Born in the parish of St. Ann in Jamaica, Charmaine began singing at a very early age. When her parents gave her a guitar on her 15th birthday, she taught herself to play, in order to accompany herself while singing, she also began to write her own songs. Throughout the years, she has experimented with singing all different types of music, ranging from Classical to Salsa . She has performed in several countries, including Jamaica, Germany, El Salvador, Guatemala and the USA. Her previous CD, entitled "Evening Time" was completed in 1999, that same year she also participated in the CD project entitled "Quimera", recorded in Guatemala with a group bearing the same name. "Sweet Jamaica" is the title of her latest recording project featuring popular Jamaican folk tunes she grew up listening to .
