Can't See the Floor
iRa's second release took some time, which was well spent in terms of song writing and performance. Can't See The Floor was produced by multi-instrumentalist John Would of Stanley Recordings where he engineered Fiona Apple's latest, "The Idler Wheel..." In addition Amy Wood who after finishing her work on "Can't See The Floor" (drums and percussion) left to tour with Fiona Apple and Amy's sister Kelsey Wood, a mezzo-soprano, sang the main backing vocals. This record is long on substance and style as it moves easily from the latin tinged title track to a Beatlesque love song, the Allman Bros. type blues number, to the Pink Floyd like "One Very Short Goodbye" and that's just the first part of this sonic journey, there are also tastes of Santana, the Smiths and the Dead...as I said, it took some time, I think you'll hear that it was worth the wait.
