Songs To Someone
Sharing his thoughts through music about everything that seems to be on his mind is, well what’s on his mind. With his self-released debut album “Songs to Someone,” Matt shares a few of his thoughts to those who like to experience a musical journey. After spending a year in Kosovo from 2004 to 2005, and then dealing with difficult domestic issues, Matt wrote and recorded the 11 songs on the album “Songs to Someone.” “Each song is a specific conversation with a specific person, or in same cases a group of people,” Matt relates. “I couldn’t figure out what to name the album until I looked back at all the songs and saw that they were each to a different person or people, so that’s what I did – named it for that ‘someone.’” From songs that deal with the indecisiveness in a specific relationship (Not Stupid), drugs and suicidal behavior (Baby Girl), to the hypocrisy of politicians regarding current affairs (Pointing Our Fingers), each conversation holds a specific point that fans can relate to.
