Confidence, Cohen was birthed out of a play about a fictitious band by the same name produced by From the Branch and written by Santiago Sosa in Birmingham, Alabama. When the play was finally produced, Santiago Sosa thought it would be a good idea to have the actors actually playing original music during the show as something a little extra. When the music was written and recorded, it turned out to be be better than expected and then the play was picked up by the Believe tour and the music was recorded professionally. And an actual band was actually birthed out of something that was originally meant to just be something fun.
