Libre De Los Muertos
Tim Barnes and the Cadaver Doggs have a nostalgic, yet original rockin’ blues sound that will leave you begging for more! If you want to rock, then pick up this new music right now! About Tim Barnes At age 19, Tim gave a friend who worked at a local radio station some tapes of his music. Stoneground took off when he was just 21. Stoneground's first gig was opening for Albert King, starting out as a power trio from Concord, CA. Later Tim and Stoneground joined forces with Sal Valentino, Cory Lerios (later of Pablo Cruise) and Steve Price as they toured Europe for a second time. Annie Sampson, an original vocalist for Stoneground continued to work with Tim when the group brought on new members Jo Baker (from Elvin Bishop Group), Sammy Piazza (Hot Tuna) and Fred Webb (It's A Beautiful Day) along with Terry Davis on Bass. Now a 10 piece band, Stoneground did five albums with Warner Brothers and 9 albums overall. In 1993, Tim joined Mick Martin & The Blues Rockers after a fun stint with The Blue Flames. Tim and Mick played their first gig at The Crest Theatre with Buddy Guy and John Mayall. Mick and Tim did a lot of songwriting and recording together and toured Europe a couple of times playing to American Blues fans wherever they went. Tim later revived Stoneground with a new line-up that included Steve Price on drums, Kelly Stephens on keyboards, Greg King on bass, Claudia Knauer and Dana Moret on vocals. Their album titled “Back With a Vengeance” featured new songs while carrying on the traditional sound of Stoneground as Rock 'n' Roll band! Today, the Cadaver Doggs is a culmination of Tim Barnes’ musical and personal journey for you all to experience. For the new CD and band Tim has brought together Greg King from stoneground, and added the heavy rhythm section of hotshot bassist Dan Stanton and super funky drummer Mark Carrabello.
