Pinku Vääty presents a yet quirkier side of his self professed musical style "technofunk". It's the musical equivalent of a conveyor belt at the checkout, and the goods getting scanned, bleeped and stuffed into the shopping bag are reminiscent of both I-Cube and Herbert as well as Bootsy Collins. Checkout is a timeless and playful piece of dancefloor electronica, and comes with an additional mix of knob tweaking acid and electro sounds layered with sounds that could well be from a steamboat engine room. The last track - Purple - is even more oriented towards the dancefloor with its disco samples churned through the same rough machinery delivering a certainly personal twist.
