Tom Bright is a melodic, Minneapolis songwriter, singer, and multi-instrumentalist who released several albums in the late 1980's on Minneapolis indie-label Blackberry Way Records ('Hands of Time'; 'Tortureland'). Tom's early music received significant college, regional, and national airplay ('Hardcore'), but as sometimes happens with lesser-known indie artists, his talent created an ironic, and somewhat frustrating situation for him and his label - multiple station managers reported that Tom's single 'Hardcore' was very popular with callers who phoned the station to find out 'which Tom Petty record that song 'Hardcore' is on.' So much for indie breakthroughs! Tom returns this summer with a collection of new, adult-themed pop songs with his usual '80's/r&b mashed-up sound, and a guitar instrumental (Strange Interlude) straight out of a '60's Sci-Fi/Beach Party flick.
