The first release 'Introduction' is intended to be just that - an introduction to the electric guitar driven songs that I have created during the early to mid years of my songwriting endeavors. Attempting to pack as much variety as possible into an 8 song collection, songs were written to display a range of writing that is sometimes lyrical, sometimes instrumental, but hopefully engaging and/or entertaining. Songs such as "Brother" and "The Stranger" often invoke comparisons to 70's guitar rock such as Robin Trower, most likely for the steady rhythmic qualities and the blues-rock inspired solo work. Although my ears were steeped in the classic rock sounds of the 60's and 70's, bands like AC/DC and guitarist Randy Rhoads were major influences helping me to see what rock music could sound like whether tipping towards the blues end of rock music or reaching for something extraordinary toward the classical edge of rock composition.
