Local St. Louis MO Singer/Songwriter Joe "Monte" Monteleone didn't grow up going hunting or fishing with his father like many other boys. They found something else much more exciting; going to St. Louis Blues games! At a very early age Monte learned the singing cry - Let's Go Blues! During play, intermission, in between periods and whenever the moment called for it, it was "LET'S GO BLUES!" Monte's Father would often reminisce about the excitement surrounding the city when the Blues started in the league in 1967 as one of the first six expansion teams. Fifty years later the Blues are more popular and beloved in St. Louis than ever. Being moved by the love affair between city and hockey team, Monte felt compelled to write a song for his favorite hockey team. He wanted to bring out the excitement and pure joy of being at a Blues game and of course cheering with passion and love - "LET'S GO BLUES!"
