Nospele Manu Dzivi!
“Play my life!” asked a painter Leo Kokle (1924 – 1964) to his friend, composer Raimonds Pauls. As so he did. These songs are not only nostalgic memories from early life in circle of friends around charismatic painter Leo Kokle, but also composer’s life story. Raimonds Pauls was a university piano class teacher, the Minister of Culture and became a beloved composer with the most popular melodies in Latvia. In the early life he was a part of bohemia life, which circled around its charming soul – humpbacked painter Leo Kokle, which was then unrecognized artist in painting landscapes, still lives, portraits, that pictured beauty and inner drama, even expressionism. Lyrics by: contemporary poets Liana Langa, Inga Abele
