“Play my life!” asked a painter Leo Kokle (1924 – 1964) to his friend, composer Raimonds Pauls. As so he did. Raimonds Pauls was a university piano class teacher, the Minister of Culture and became a beloved composer with the most popular melodies in Latvia. In the early life he was a part of bohemia life, which circled around its charming soul – humpbacked painter Leo Kokle, which was then unrecognized artist in painting landscapes, still lives, portraits, that pictured beauty and inner drama, even expressionism.
