Juicy Love is in the rock style with a soul flavor. It's about passion, longing, and lust. Monte says about the writing, "I came up with the riff while waiting to record a different song. I knew I had something. Our drummer at the time wanted to get on with the recording, but The Machine told him to leave me alone. He knew I had something. Once I had it down I started singing soulfully over it. I was listening to a lot of Sam & Dave at the time so that explains why. I knew I had something special so I worked extra hard on the lyrics, chorus, and bridge. I sang my heart out during the recording. I'm proud of the way it turned out." Juicy Love was recorded at Sawhorse Studios in St. Louis, Missouri.
