It is with the greatest pleasure that Phunky Rabbit Records welcome on board one of Italy's finest DJ/Producers Corvino Traxx (aka Marco Corvino) who teams up with the highly acclaimed vocalist Noelle (aka Noelle Barbera) for a house classic, Set You Free. Marco began working as a DJ at a professional level in many Italian radio programs since 1985, including some of the most famous such as: Radio Orion 2, Rare Grooves, Rec & Play, Mix in Time, and Italy Radio Network. He has released tracks on many many top labels and his production is nothing short of excellent. He is another producer/DJ from the Italian city of Naples and I have worked with quite a few guys from this city now. He is also a very busy DJ and frequently plays out to crowds in main venues holding a few thousand people. Noelle Barbera is a singer/songwriter/producer with releases on underground House Music labels including SoulShine Recordings, Soundmen on Wax and Favouritizm. Her latest release with husband and collaborator, Junior White DJ, reached the top twenty on Traxsource.com's Top Singles Chart and received rave reviews in DMC Magazine, Tillate and Spirit of House among others. The new single, "Stay" is supported by Top dj's including David Morales, Tony Humphries, Kenny Dope, Frankie Knuckles, Quentin Harris and DJ Spen. A classically trained vocalist with more than a decade of singing both opera and jazz under her belt, Noelle has an impressive range that she brings to her powerful and "unmistakable emotive vocals"(Spirit of House). She has a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music conservatory and has also been trained in violin, piano and percussion. The main track is a very clever production backdrop by Corvino Traxx providing a bumpy groove with an electric piano hook driving it throughout. Then Noelle hits you with a really cool soulful vocal in her unmistakeable style with gorgeous harmonies backing up the main vocal. On the remixes we have The Starseeders where Corvino Traxx teams up with Luca De Gregorio for a solid soulful house track with an offbeat backdrop to get your dancing feet moving. The other remix is by Little Nancy aka producer Nunzio Santagata. This track is a real shuffler and Nunzio provides a really deep style here. He uses Noelle's vocals fully to give you a full on soulful house monster of a track with well worked breaks to get you in an uplifting mood.
